Education (Formal/Non-Formal)
The main sector that AWCPO focuses on is education (formal/non-formal) with special emphasis on girls’ & women education. In this context, AWCPO has gained sufficient experiences by implementing various education projects for women in different areas of Afghanistan and for the returnees’ children & women in major provinces of Afghanistan funded by different national and international donors.
The main objective of these projects is the creation of a conducive, learning environment as well as school & courses to provide basic education opportunities for children deprived of their basic right of education. AWCPO promotes quality education (formal/non-formal) for women & men, by providing teaching-learning materials & classroom supplies.
The important components of this sector are:
- School/Course Management.
- Peace Education.
- Teacher/Instructor Training.
- Community mobilizations, School Management Committee establishment and their training.
