Team and Organization Structure

The decision-making bodies of the Afghan Women Coordination and Promotion Organization(AWCPO) are:

  • Board of Directors
  • Board of Management

The Board Directors recognize that the management of the organization and implementation of organizational policies is the responsibility of the Executive Director.

The executive director is answerable to the AWCPO Board of Directors and has the responsibility for the management of the organization, including:

  •  All programs, administrative and financial activities
  •  Coordination with donors
  • Signatory authority for all project agreements and contracts with other agencies
  • Implementation of AWCPO’s policies, rules, regulations, and internal code of conduct

AWCPO’s management team consists of an executive director, all departmental managers, and participatory decision-making is encouraged and applied. The executive director conducts regular meetings with all departments and the management team meets on a weekly and monthly basis. 

The management team holds the following responsibilities:

  • Supporting director for running organization programs.
  • Monitoring work plan, financial plan, ongoing activities of different sections.
  • Coordinate and discuss program-related issues.
