Emergency Relief
AWCPO responds promptly to crises by providing:
- Cash and food distribution during emergencies and disasters to support affected communities.
- Shelter provisions for displaced individuals to ensure safe and secure living conditions.
- Emergency livestock support initiatives to jumpstart livelihoods for family’s dependent on agriculture.
Work experience
AWCPO has demonstrated resilience and response capability by implementing emergency response initiatives in Kabul, Khost, and Paktia provinces, especially during crises funded by UN-WFP. The organization provided cash and food rations to vulnerable individuals during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Following the political changes in Afghanistan on August 15, 2021, AWCPO resumed operations on August 30, 2021, swiftly implementing projects that supported hundreds of thousands of households who lost their jobs and income due to the regime change, demonstrating AWCPO’s commitment to the welfare of the Afghan people in times of crisis.
Through these collective efforts, AWCPO aims to foster long-term resilience, empowerment, and growth within the communities it serves, playing a crucial role in the socio-economic recovery of Afghanistan.
