Food Security and Nutrition
AWCPO prioritizes food security and safety by:
- Implementing food distribution programs for vulnerable families to combat hunger and malnutrition.
- Supporting local farmers through initiatives designed to enhance food production and agricultural practices.
- Creating assets that bolster agricultural activities and improve community resilience.
- Distributing nutritional food packages specifically for lactating and pregnant women and children under five years of age to promote healthy development.
Work experience
Since 2019, AWCPO has partnered with the United Nations World Food Programme (UN-WFP) to address food security. Initiatives include cash and food-for-work programs, as well as the distribution of nutritional packages for lactating and pregnant women and children under five in Kabul, Paktia, and Khost provinces.
