Goals:
AWCPO strives to achieve the following goals:
- Empower women to stand for their own rights to gain economic independence and live with dignity and security.
- AWCPO aims to develop programs that give more women and girls access to education, ranging from elementary school to postsecondary. Our goal is to empower women by tackling obstacles like lack of infrastructure, cultural prejudices, and financial limitations.
- The aim of AWCPO is to enhance the availability of all-inclusive healthcare services for women, encompassing family planning, sanitation, and hygiene. At AWCPO, our mission is to eliminate the social, cultural, and economic barriers that prevent women from getting the basic healthcare they need.
- We aim to strengthen Afghan Women financial independence through capacity building initiatives allowing them to develop the skillset required for producing a sustainable income.
- At the AWCPO, we understand how critical it is to confront deeply ingrained social and cultural norms that support gender inequality. We seek to confront and change discriminatory attitudes and behaviors through advocacy, community discussions, teamwork and collaborative efforts.
- Improve education to build futures of children to ensure an independent, dignified and safe life: Education is a basic human right and key for self-sufficiency, dignity and development. AWCPO focuses on girls’ education and doing advocacy and lobbying for this valued right to enable girls to be an active part of the society.
- Increasing diversity and Sustainability of organization’s sources of income aiming to increase operations and enhance its impact: One of the major goals of AWCPO is to diversify the nature of its source of income by drawing funds from international donors, local fundraising and private sectors to accumulate enough funds for its targeted areas.
- Humanitarian assistance for saving life and Food Security: Support diversification and local increase in nutritional food production aiming to decrease food insecurity amongst the food insecure population in general and malnourished and pregnant women in particular.
- WASH: Provision of clean drinking water, hygiene material and sanitization in girls’ school is an integral part of health and wellbeing: AWCPO with the help of its donors and other stakeholders aims to install clean drinking facilities, sanitary and hygiene materials in girl schools in central and south eastern regions as well as facilitating for clean and hygienic toilet facilities in girl schools ensuring their health and wellbeing.
